Francesca Cartier Brickell is one of the sixth generation of the Cartier family since the eponymous brand’s establishment, and as such, she has a unique perspective on the melding of Eastern and Western aesthetic motifs.
Her great great uncle Louis Cartier was the first to really start to incorporate Chinese elements into the brand’s creations. And her great grandfather Jacques Cartier collected books on Chinese mythology to gain a deeper understanding of the culture, a fascination that radiated out through the brand’s creations.
