A World Of Firsts At Upcoming China Art Festival

China’s top arts festival, the 12th China Art Festival, held every three years, is coming to Shanghai for the first time. It will bring 51 shows from art troupes across the nation to 19 city venues that include the Shanghai Museum of Art and the Shanghai Exhibition Center. The festival will run from May 20th to June 2nd. Besides being its first time being held in Shanghai, the festival also has several firsts.

 

 

Three exhibitions that include the national art exhibition, the national calligraphy exhibition and the national photography exhibition will be held in China Art Museum from May 21st, which also marks the first time that the three national level exhibitions will be held at one venue.

 

 

A cultural and creative exhibition will be also be held. 33 booths will showcase the developments of the cultural and creative industries. This is the first time that cultural and creative exhibition will be involved with the China Art Festival.

 

 

As the festival will be held in Shanghai for the first time, Shanghai theatrical companies will present a series of performances including The Eternal Wave, The Last War Elephant and Dream Of Heaven.

 

 

This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in a cultural feast like none Shanghai has seen before. Make sure you soak up as much of it as you can!
