Belt And Road Children Experience The City


Pupils at Daning International Elementary School, located in Jing’an District, were joined by 72 children from nine countries on Tuesday morning for a cultural exchange.



The children also had classes together in ballet, traditional Chinese musical instruments and pottery.



The children were from nations that have joined the Belt and Road Initiative, aged between 10 to 12, including Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Mongolia, Vietnam, Thailand, Russia, Kazakhstan and Pakistan.



Organized by China Charity Federation, it was the second stop of their China tour. The four-day tour will go through the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, the Bund , Chenghuang Temple, Qibao old town and many other tourist sites. For many of them, it is their first visit to China. After Shanghai, the foreign children will go to Chongqing, Chengdu and finally Beijing.



The charity federation is also planning to take Chinese children abroad to showcase Chinese culture.
