China’s Lunar Rover Switches To Dormant Mode

Yutu-2, China’s Lunar Rover has gone into dormant mode due to a lack of solar power during the period of 14 days that coincides with the Mid-Autumn Festival. Having completed several tasks, including taking a photograph with the Chinese Flag, the rover has also been conducting geographical and scientific surveillance on the surface, and has thus far covered about 284 meters, a record, according to Mao Xiaoyan, Deputy Chief Designer of the GNC System of Yutu-2, who also said that this mission has already accomplished much more than the previous one.
