The 29th East China Import & Export Commodity Fair (East China Fair 2019) will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center on March 1-4, with an exhibition area of 126,500 m² and 5,868 standard booths available. More than 4,000 enterprises will be organized by 14 trading groups, of which 452 will be overseas enterprises.
The 29th East China Import & Export Commodity Fair is jointly sponsored by the commercial departments of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong, Nanjing, Ningbo and other provinces. As the largest regional international economic and trade event with the largest number of merchants, widest radiation and highest turnover, it attracted 22,311 overseas merchants from 109 countries and regions in the world last year, with a total export turnover of US$2.32 billion.
In 2019, the ECF will be divided into five major exhibition areas, namely garment, textile fabrics, household goods, decorative gifts, and a modern lifestyle series.
Trade shows like the ECF are an important way for Chinese foreign trade enterprises to expand into international markets. One initiative aimed at developing market cooperation is via one-on-one matchmaking meetings, which will be expanded at this year’s ECF. On-site meetings will include one among companies from countries along the “the Belt and Road”, like Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand and Turkey.
The enterprises participating in this year’s ECF have selected “new highlights” showing their development, so the Fair will be wall-to-wall full of new innovations and evidence of China’s constantly-improving manufacturing structure. The new products, new technologies, new processes and new ideas of transformation brought by these enterprises have enabled us to see the infinite internal force of ‘Made in China’.
The East China Fair 2019 will form a special intellectual property working group with the Shanghai Intellectual Property Office and the Market Supervision Bureau, arranging inspectors at the same time to ensure everything goes smoothly to reinforce valuable cooperation.
