F1 Traffic Well In Hand

The 2019 F1 Chinese Grand Prix will be at the Shanghai International Circuit for three days starting on April 12th. The Shanghai Metro has specially formulated a plan to improve the traffic conditions on line 11.

The Shanghai Circuit Station and Baiyin Road Station adjacent to the Shanghai International Circuit will be the places with the heaviest traffic. The F1 event coincides with the first weekend after Qingming Festival, so the transit system will be even more strained.

On April 14th, during the race (15:00~19:00), the train running interval on line 11 will be temporarily adjusted to: Jiading Xincheng Station ~ Sanlin Station: 3 minutes and 30 seconds, Jiading North Station ~ Jiading Xincheng Station: 14 minutes, Sanlin Station ~ Disney Resort Station: 7 minutes, Huaqiao Station ~ Jiading Xincheng Station: 4 minutes and 40 seconds.

The Shanghai Circuit Station will increase the number of on-site staff and strengthen the on-site passenger service, with increased service standards such as bilingual broadcasting and bilingual guidance to improve service quality.

In order to facilitate ticket purchases, a temporary one-way ticket will be added. Shanghai Circuit Station and Baiyin Road Station will set up temporary ticketing points for one-way tickets, prepare sufficient emergency tickets, and have hand-held ticket checking machines to speed up entry and exit.
