The FIBA World Cup starts this Saturday in 8 cities across China, with matches in Shanghai starting on Sunday that will feature teams from the U.S, Turkey, Czech Republic and Japan. Construction of facilities has been completed, including new stands and a T.V broadcasting room in the Shanghai venue, the Oriental Sport Center.
Shanghai will host 13 matches and tickets are in high demand with many matches already sold out. Tickets can be purchased on the website 2019fbwc.damai.cn with prices ranging from 180 – 2,380 Yuan. For those who can’t make the games, the matches can also be experienced in Basketball House in Wanda Plaza from this Saturday until Sept. 15th.
