“Expo Heritage: Exhibits Collections from World Expos” opened at the World Expo Museum on May 11th.
The exhibition combines mainly physical displays and multimedia exhibitions.
For the first time, it displays over 600 precious treasures from the World Expo Museum catalog, including medals, prints, chinaware, stamps and historical documents. Each of the treasures recounts the story of different World Expos.
The opening ceremony also celebrates the publication of World Expo official albums including The Expo 2010 Shanghai China Official Albums.The exhibition falls into two major categories: history and highlights of World Expos.
The history of World Expos contains five parts: the shows of World Expos, the prints of World Expos, the stamps of World Expos, the chinaware of World Expos, and creations of World Expos.
The collections and treasures are exhibited in terms of different textures, weights and categories to show the aesthetic value of the exhibits.
The highlights are the Origin of the World Expo and China in the World Expo, relating the story of the first World Expo in 1851 and the early participation of China.
