Golden Globes Kick Off Hollywood’s Award Season

The annual 76th Golden Globes kicked off with hosts Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh on Sunday evening in Los Angeles, California, the United States.

 

Under a bright California sun, Tinseltown’s A-listers worked the entertainment press and cameras for the first time this awards season at the Beverly Hilton in the run-up to the all-important Oscars on February 24.

Host Sandra Oh wins Best Actress in TV series

 

 

Sandra Oh won the Golden Globe for best TV drama actress for her role in “Killing Eve” and gave an emotional tribute to her parents. She won her first Globe in 2006 for Grey’s Anatomy.

 

 

“Shallow,” performed by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper in A Star Is Born, won best original song.

 

“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Vers” claims Best Animated Feature

 

 

“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” which follows African American/Puerto Rican Brooklyn teen Miles Morales as Spider-Man, claimed the Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature.
