Magical Mid-Autumn Moonlight – Places to Go, Feelings to Experience

This year, Sept. 13th is the Middle Day of Autumn. It’s a day when families get together and enjoy the beautiful moonlight. Here is a list of places we commend you to visit during this wonderful holiday.

 

Fengjing Ancient Town
Located in the southwest of Shanghai, 700-year-old Fengjing ancient town is well known for the scale and quality of its preservation. During this holiday, if you visit, you can experience moon cake making, lantern riddles, and wearing traditional Han clothes.

 

Guyi Garden
After three years of elaborate construction work, Guyi Garden will welcome tourists with the nation’s largest lighting project of classical gardens. If visitors wear traditional clothes, they can enter the garden for free, and the first 100 visitors will be rewarded a lantern. To celebrate, the garden’s closing time is being extended from 19:30 to 20:00 during the festival.

 

 

Jiabei County Park

 

Bring your children here to spend a close-to-nature holiday! And don’t forget to take along with your picnic gear. The park will provide a lot of events for parents and children with games, concerts and sports. Follow the official account of the park to find more about their events.

Zhouqiao Old Street
Zhouqiao Old Street is in the centre of Jiading old town. Visitors can experience many folk activities here, such as tea rituals, lantern making and ancient poetry creating.
