MOFCOM: US Special 301 Report Lacks ‘Objectivity And Justice’

The 2018 Special 301 Report by the US Trade Representative on international intellectual property rights practices lacks objectivity and justice, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said on Saturday.

In a statement, the ministry said the US has neglected the facts, expressing opposition to Washington’s decision to continue placing China on its Priority Watch List over alleged IP issues.

The ministry said China urges the US to earnestly fulfill its bilateral commitments, respect the facts, and objectively, impartially, and kindly evaluate the efforts made by foreign governments, including China, in terms of intellectual property rights and the results they have achieved in this area.
