The cold front that hit the city at the weekend is likely to keep moving in this week, with a chilly and rainy Christmas Day on the cards, forecasters said.
According to the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau, dry and cloudy conditions are expected to prevail Christmas Eve under the domination of a cold wave. Starting Tuesday, Christmas Day, a warm air mass will grow stronger and the collision of cold and warm air will lead to rain.
The most significant rainfall of this round may occur on Wednesday, with the wet weather holding back for a while from late Thursday. The rain will return Saturday, with a chance of snow.
