Police Employ Cartoons to Educate Young Drivers

As part of its effort to educate young drivers, police have launched a campaign using cartoon characters to mark Sept. 9th as No Drunk-Driving Day. The educational video, set to rap lyrics and music with traditional styled young characters, was launched in Huangpu District to an audience of police officers and young folk who were all suitably entertained. Drivers caught over the limit will have their licenses suspended for at least six months and face fines of more than 1,000 yuan, with more serious offenders being taken into custody.
