Shanghai Releases Healthy Action Plan For 2019 To 2030

The Shanghai government released an action plan for residents to lead healthier lives over the 2019 – 2030 period. The Shanghai plan integrates the health care system within the Yangtze River Delta region and will endeavor to add more high-quality medical and health resources around the region.

Shanghai Deputy Mayor, Zong Ming, says that a total of 165,000 residents have already benefited from the remote payment of medical insurance bills in Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai. As part of the plan, the city government has also launched a phone app called HealthCare Cloud allowing residents to book vaccinations, view their medical records, and check their blood-sugar levels, blood pressure and blood fat.
