The clear and dry skies will stay for one more day before warm and moist air mass brings some drizzle on Wednesday, forecasters said.

Yesterday morning almost all suburban districts saw their lows plunging below minus 1 degree Celsius. The lowest reading of minus 4.6 degrees was reported in Jinshan District.

Jinshan, Fengxian and Qingpu districts all recorded their lowest readings of the winter.

Benchmark Xujiahui weather station downtown had a low of 1.6 degrees and most areas of the city witnessed their lowest temperature of 2019.

According to the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau, today and tomorrow the city will be under the impact of weak high pressure with cloudy or overcast skies.

The gap between the lowest and highest temperatures will still be large.
