Sheshan is divided into east Sheshan and west Sheshan. On the mountain there is Sheshan Notre Dame cathedral, Dongyue palace, a Taoist temple, Xiudao tower, Sheshan earthquake base station, Sheshan Yue lake and Sheshan observatory.

East Sheshan festival is held every year on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month. There are many special programs suitable for the elderly to take part in.

6. Tianma Mountain

Tianma Mountain, with a long cultural history, is the eighth of the nine peaks in Songjun. The mountain is high and steep, and the forest is luxuriant. There are two peaks, both in the shape of Tianma, so the mountain is named Tianma Mountain. You can see black pines, yutong, bamboo and other greenery on the mountain.

The Huzhu Tower is known as the world’s first Leaning Tower, located in the piedmont of that mountain, built in 1079 AD. It is said that Wu Gan forged his sword here during the Spring and Autumn period (770 AD to 476 AD).

7. Chenshan

This mountain is named “Chenshan” because it is one of the nine peaks of Songjun County (which is in the southeast). The main peak is 69.8 meters above sea level, with mixed forests on the south of the mountain, and bamboo on the north slope of the mountain. It is the largest botanical garden in east China and the second botanical garden in Shanghai.
