There comes a time when you have to admit that your elder relatives are not going to recover. The hospital can no longer take up resources trying to help them. Unless the family has the financial resources for a full-time in home nurse, the only option is a hospice.

 

China’s first hospice opened in 1987, and since then, it has eased the pain of 30,000 of its patients during their final days. There are some limited attempts at exercise, but most of it is just focused on making their final months as comfortable as possible.
