Deep in Lunang, 17-year-old Choedon is overseeing his pasture of 33 calves. To the north of Namtso Lake, Phunlo’s eldest son is on his way to becoming a master shepherd. It’s a typical way of life on the plateau, as man seeks to tame nature.



The 22-year-old Pema and the village doctor Purbhu Tsering are concerned about an on coming sandstorm. Under such harsh conditions, they fight to survive for the sake of future generations.
