Apple CEO Tim Cook recently made a trip to Shanghai. He was heading across town to meet with Li Qiang, secretary of the municipal committee of the CPC to discuss investment in Shanghai and develop more sectors of cooperation, and decided to take public transportation.
While Shanghai public transportation is known for its simplicity, Cook was clearly a novice with the system. He tried to scan his Apple watch to pay for ferry fare, but something was wrong!
It turns out he scanned the bike lane, so he ended up paying 0.8 rmb more for his ticket! In the end, he managed to find his way just fine, but we hope for the sake of international cooperation that he wasn’t too put out!
