Tintin’s Latest Adventure? A Shanghai Shop!

Started in 1929 and arguably Belgium’s main cultural export, “The Adventures of Tintin” has landed in China with a flagship store, just in time for its 90th anniversary!



The Adventures of Tintin was serialized in a Belgian newspaper in 1929 and went on to spawn a total of 25 comic books beloved by generations of imaginative readers around the world. The main character, Tintin, is a journalist, explorer and adventurer who rushes around the globe in cars, tanks, planes and ships. He also has a little white dog named Snowy who joins him on his adventures.




Shanghai’s flagship store takes up an area of ​​80 square meters. And is equal parts store and exhibition featuring one of the world’s most beloved characters. On entering, visitors are met with more than a thousand products celebrating their comic book idol and his colorful cast of friends and foes.



At the entrance you’ll be greeted by a life-sized Tintin, and can get your hands on a limited edition statue bearing the French word for Shanghai, which will be a coveted item for Tintin fans here.



Come inside and browse puzzles, stamps, postcards, figurines and many more items featuring celebrating Tintin, Snowy, the Thomson Twins, Captain Haddock and many more beloved characters. There is something here for Tintin fans of all ages.
